Charles "Spider" Smith

A Fort Worth legend, Charles Smith excelled as a student athlete where he won 5A state title and MVP in 1993 from renowned Dunbar High School and went on to start four years at the University of New Mexico. As part of the New Mexico Lobos, Smith holds the all-time leading scorer in New Mexico’s history. Charles was also a two-time recipient awarded player for Western Athletic Conference (WAC) first team defense and offense as well as won 2 WAC titles. 

In 1997, the NBA selected Charles Smith as a first round, 26th draft pick for the Miami Heat. Charles continued his successful NBA career playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, the San Antonio Spurs and the Portland Trail Blazers alongside some of the NBA greats; David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Scottie Pippen and Rasheed Wallace. Charles had his most successful season playing with the San Antonio Spurs as a shooting guard. Charles continued his success by bringing his talent overseas, where he won the first-ever Alphonso Ford Trophy as he was the best scorer in the 2004-05 EuroLeague season. As a prolific scorer, he starred in the European national leagues where he was also named the EuroCup Basketball Finals MVP of the EuroCup in the 2006-07 season. Smith won two titles while playing with Real Madrid and Efes Pilsen. 

 Charles Smith has been featured in top sports media publications such as ESPN, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Madrid Television, the Gazetta and the Marca and numerous others. 

 Today, Charles Smith has participated in NBA’s top 100 camp and has trained several athletes on every level about the game of basketball.

Ahmad Tucker 

Born in Fort Worth, TX Ahmad began his basketball career at the age of 4. At an early age, he showed a love and passion for the game of basketball which remains today. His skills excelled quickly as he competed in recreational league play throughout his youth. He attended O.D. Wyatt High School in Fort Worth, where he was top rated in District play in addition to being in the top 5% of his graduating class. A standout on the varsity basketball team, he was the second leading scorer and helped lead his team to its first ever state Final Four appearance. In 1992, he received All District honors, All Area honors and an All State honorable mention. Ahmad had a tremendous senior year on the court and was selected to the Texas North/South All-Star game. 

 Ahmad went on to play at Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana as a shooting guard. There he burst onto the scene by averaging 15 points a game in his first year. Rated one of the best shooters in the conference, he led the Gulf Coast Atlantic Conference in 3-point field goals made in a season all while shooting over 40% from the 3-point line. During his tenure at Dillard he received numerous selections including All Tournament and All Conference. He was chosen as Tournament MVP in the 1st Annual 100 Black Men of America basketball tournament. Ahmad was instrumental in leading Dillard to a GCAC conference championship his senior year. He graduated from Dillard University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. 

Ahmad began his coaching/training career with the DFW Spurs AAU Basketball organization as Assistant Coach. He trained and developed many young basketball players while leading the 15U team to numerous AAU semifinal and championship finishes. During his final year with the organization he accepted the head coaching position for the 17U team. There he continued his winning ways adding even more championship appearances and wins on the highly competitive AAU circuit. He has trained and enhanced the basketball skills of boys and girls of all ages. His knowledge and extensive workouts enhance their individual basketball fundamentals, shooting skills and overall development as players. He believes hard work, discipline, and determination are essential for improvement and success.
